Advanced Auto Care is a STAR certified smog check center in Lake Elsinore that provides fast, affordable, and reliable smog testing. STAR certified centers are authorized by California's Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) to check all types of vehicles for excessive emissions as well as diagnose and repair those that fail the smog check. Because we are STAR certified, we're also able to inspect and repair vehicles designated as “gross polluters,” meaning that they emit extremely high levels of carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, and/or hydrocarbons (typically, twice the maximum emission limits).

At Advanced Auto Care, not only are we fully authorized to handle all aspects of smog testing for cars, vans, trucks, and RVs, but we're also highly qualified to handle all smog-related repairs. If you have a vehicle that failed smog, our ASE-certified automotive mechanics can be trusted to accurately diagnose the problem and expertly fix it -- all for a highly competitive price. We use the industry's latest diagnostic equipment, tools, and software with factory-authorized parts (or high-quality aftermarket parts) to perform expert repairs that are guaranteed to pass smog. Most cars that have failed a smog test need to have the catalytic converter, vapor management system, oxygen circulation system, misfire system, exhaust gas recirculating system, or engine management system, repaired or replaced. All repairs are covered by our three-year or 36,000-mile warranty.

Walk-ins are welcome between 7am and 5pm, Monday through Friday, but we always encourage customers to call ahead for fastest service. With a scheduled appointment, we can often complete a smog test within 10-15 minutes. If you need us to perform failed smog check diagnosis and repairs and prefer to drop off your vehicle, we provide a free shuttle service to anywhere with a 7-mile radius of our shop. We accept cash and all major credit cards. Additionally, as a STAR Test-and-Repair station, we are qualified to perform emissions-related repairs that meet the requirements of the Consumer Assistance Program (CAP), which offers as much as $500 in Repair Assistance to income-eligible consumers.
